Wonder how good the union is for carpenter ants?
Doesn't sound like they get to go to picnics, like all the other ants. They pretty much spend all their time in houses - or rather, "around" houses. Hence the name I suppose...
Given what they do, I 'd suspect a more appropriate name would be Demolition Ants - human carpenters typically have to come in to repair their "handiwork".
Either way, they'd still get to wear their tiny little hard hats and steel-toed boots...
Later!

Ha! I love the picture in my head of tiny hard hats and wee hammers! Kinda makes those nasty Carpenter Ants seem a little cuter.
And little union tattoos...
Ahah! It's so true... demolition ants would really be more appropriate. Alone they can't do a lot but a colony can be composed of up to 100,000 ants when maturity is reached. They can dig funny tunnels in your house at this point!
