I've always thought that "hardy har har" was another reference to something funny. Turns out that if you Google that phrase, it is actually quite condescending apparently. It is a sarcastic retort to something funny.

So, if you were to say something like..."I love paying taxes - hardy har har!", that should be taken as a sarcastic response to the statement that preceded it.

Wait - that DOES deserve a sarcastic response!!

Nope. Still accurate, still appropriate...

Well, clearly this train of thought requires more processing.
