I predict Conan will disappear from NBC even before Leno's projected departure prior to the Olympics. I know he's getting screwed, but he's also showing a lack of class in his handling of the situation, and he miscalculated his own popularity before he pushed his way into The Tonight Show hosting gig.
I predict Leno WILL fail if he gets The Tonight Show back - this has been one ugly mess, but a gold mine for viewers of every show poking fun at the situation.
That's my though, for what it's worth.

I completely agree with Mr That Dan Guy! Conan - Don't care for him, not funny, just goofy at best.
Leno, funnier than Conan, but not near as funny as Letterman or Ferguson.
Hmm, maybe Ferguson should jump ship and go to NBC, get rid of both Leno and Conan! With David Letterman backing Ferguson, he can then have his cake and eat it too, holding the crown on both networks!

You know, at the end of the day, it's all about demographics. Despite networks continually craving the "young audience", that demographic doesn't give a rat's ass about Leno, O'Brien, or Harry Houdini. They're too busy watching dancing cats on Youtube. The mature group that still is so technologically stunted that they watch network television has actually followed Leno (5 million strong) through prime time, and they'll be back when he returns to late-nite.
