Sad way to start your day – hearing that actor Leslie Nielsen had passed away. I am a big fan of his work in comedy, and much of the rest of the world shared in that enjoyment of his zany send-ups of other popular styles of movies. The Airplane series, the Naked Gun series and more all cracked me up.


Not so much – Mrs. That Dan Guy! When we were first dating, I took her to see one in those series, and while I was roaring with laughter in the theatre, I could feel her shrinking in the seat beside me. I think beneath her embarrassment at my reaction, she truly did enjoy his talents, although she did groan a lot through the next two films in the Naked Gun series, now that I think about it.
