What a way to start off 2015!!
I bought a Lotto 6-49 for the New Year's Eve draw, and when I checked it in at the gas station yesterday - WE WON!!!
Which was surprising, because when I checked the numbers at home, we didn't match a single one. But when the cashier ran it through the machine, it gave out the automated celebratory winner's cheer!
I was paid right on the spot, which felt great. I ran back to the car, waving the money in the air, with one heck of a pep in my step, I might add.
However, later that night, Mrs. That Dan Guy started to get a sore throat, so I had to go buy some Halls throat lozenges, which took away about 1/6 of the $10.00 cash payout. So we're still up, but a couple of cups of coffee at Tim Horton's and we're back in the red on this lottery thing.
Easy come, easy go...
